Autumn Entrepreneurship course in scope of ALTHOUR project

As part of the European ALTHOUR project, FCUL, together with its UL partners and the Universities of Maastricht, Leuven and Macerata, is organizing an Autumn Entrepreneurship free course, intended for PhD students and researchers at the beginning of their careers, and will take place in the weeks of October 23 to 27, 2017 and December 4 to 8, 2017, with remote award activities. LASIGE member appointed Pro-rector at University of Lisbon

During the next Rector takeover ceremony, taking place next September 20th, LASIGE member and FCUL Professor Dulce Domingos, will be formally appointed Pro-rector at University of Lisbon, by the Rector Prof. António Cruz Serra.

Invited Seminar @ Imperial College London

The MRG (MobilityReadingGroup) of Imperial College London invited Vasco Vasconcelos to give a seminar in September, 2017. Honorable Mention @ University of Lisbon Scientific Prizes

The University of Lisbon Scientific Prizes' jury have awarded Francisco Couto with a Honorable Mention at 2017 awards. The prizes, instituted by the University of Lisbon in collaboration with Caixa Geral de Depósitos, aim to reward the scientific research activity and to encourage the publication in international journals of recognized quality.

Keynote speaker @ IEEE/IFIP DISSECT 2017

Fernando Ramos was invited to deliver a keynote speech at DISSECT 2017 - 3rd IEEE/IFIP Workshop on Security for Emerging Distributed Network Technologies, that will take place at May 12th, 2017, in Lisbon, Portugal.

The speech will be about Sirius, a network virtualization platform that addresses security and dependability limitations of multi-tenant network virtualization platforms, by creating the abstraction of user-centric clouds.

Girls in ICT @ Ciências.ULisboa 2017

Several LASIGE members were involved in the organization of the third edition of "Girls in ICT@ Ciências.ULisboa", that took place at May 6th, 2017.

The "Girls in ICT Day" - World Day for Young Women in Information and Communication Technologies, is an initiative of the International Telecommunication Union, that visa to raise awareness to young women about career opportunities in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
